Since 2012 Clara Maria Schubert has been competing in Dressage competitions in Portugal. During this time she has been competing in national and regional dressage tests, primarily in the area around Lisbon and in Ribatejo. Her competition record includes: Ceia in Alfeizerão, Academia de Dressage in Arruda dos Vinhos, Companhia das Lezírias in Samora Correia, Hippos Golegã in Golegã, Quinta da Marinha in Cascais and Sociedade Hípica Portuguesa in Lisbon. Clara Maria Schubert competed with several different horses, amongst them the lusitanos: Sábio, Casquilho, Detalhe, Temporal Interagro, Guerrita, Hebraico, and she has done tests level P, E, M and C.

She has achieved notable success; especially the victories with Sábio in the CDN Golegã in 2012, with Detalhe in Estoril, with Temporal Interagro in CDRs in Alfeizerão in 2016 and with Hebraico in the CDR in Golegã in 2018, where she also achieved the best mark/score of the whole competition need to be mentioned. Apart from this Clara has placed 2nd and 3rd, behind well-known riders like Daniel Pinto, Miguel Ralão or Raquel Falcão.

Currently she trains Hebraico, Iska and Importante for the next competition season (2019).
